As well as providing counselling, I enjoy writing, presenting papers/ training and providing supervision for social workers and counsellors. For me, these activities are excellent opportunities for practice reflection and contributing to clinical practice and the broader community.
I believe strongly in the importance of clinical supervision as a key way to support workers. From my point of view, supervision can be a space in which workers can reflect on their practice, have the opportunity to share complex issues their clients are experiencing, explore the broader social justice context and plan career development. In this work I offer creative, interactive ways of working to facilitate discussion and reflections.
